Humboldt’s Summer Sizzler is fast approaching, this year with new talent, such as Global FMX Motocross.
The motocross show, taking place Friday, June 17 at 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., will feature riders performing spectacular flips, spins and more.
Kris Garwasiuk, co-owner of Global FMX, explained what audience members will see while watching the show.
“Dirtbikes flying 75 feet in the air and doing massive tricks, backflips, all the latest stunts in the sport of freestyle motocross. It really is one of those things that you have to see to appreciate. We can’t wait to come to Humboldt and put on a show for everyone.
Members of the public can expect to see death-defying stunts, such as a trick called “the cliffhanger”, a trick in which the rider puts their feet under the handlebars of the bike, stands upright in the air and performs backflips.
Garwasiuk is the first Canadian to turn professional in the sport of freestyle motocross and brought it with him by starting Global FMX. The group has performed in places such as Las Vegas, Shanghai China and many other places around the world.
Garwasiuk explained how exciting motocross is but can also be soothing.
“Motocross is such a great sport, it’s definitely one of those things when you get on a motorbike, it clears your mind. Any problem of the day seems to evaporate and go away.
The Global FMX team said they were very happy to come to Humboldt and play.
“It’s a really fun, family atmosphere that we like to promote at Global FMX. It’s what we’re known for, it’s super interactive with the crowd, so we expect everyone to come have fun with us, cheer us on and see the international athletes we’ll be bringing to town.
The show is free for everyone, with a booth party between shows. The Sizzler will be a big time for everyone, with many more events coming to town.
